Lane and Sidewalk Closure Policy

Building the Future BUSINESS 40

  • In May 2018, City Council adopted a Lane and Sidewalk

Closure Policy:

  • Updated user fees to include charging a fee for road closures that

affect traffic flows in downtown.

  • The fees would be applied for any lane or sidewalk closure

approved or implemented on marked and unmarked routes used by travelers on roadways associated with the Business 40 closure.

  • Exemption from fees - road closures and detours

specifically associated with contractors doing work on, or for, the Business 40 Project.

  • Policy becomes effective November 1, 2018 (same month as

the full closure).
