Condition 33 During periods of temporary operations (soil stripping, the construction and removal of baffle mounds, soil storage mounds and spoil heaps, construction of new permanent landforms and aspects of site road construction and maintenance) the Noise Monitoring Scheme shall provide that the noise emitted from

  • perations on the site shall not result in noise levels greater than

70dB LAeq, 1Hr (freefield) as measured at Brooms Farm, Pont Road and Douglas Terrace. The duration of such activities shall not exceed 8 weeks in relation to each of the respective noise monitoring properties in any 12 month period.

Area A

  • Overburden Excavation complete. We suspended work on occasions due to

environmental issues such as noise and dust. Coaling for another 2-3 weeks.

  • Final Void being filled from Area B Overburden Excavation – Complete in 6-8

weeks.

  • Restoration of 3 layers of Soil being inspected by DCC – Expected completion
  • f Area A Restoration August/September.

Area B

  • Soil Stripping ongoing after Ecological checks – all areas checked by qualified

ecologist and signed off prior to any works commencing.

  • Area B Overburden excavation has commenced.
  • Blasting commenced from the 15th May. To be continued when required

through section B.
