MRS CONLEY’S WELCOME BACK …

 Welcome back … we are looking forward to seeing Year 10 & 12 back!  Many will be feeling nervous after such a long period away from school  Presentation to support you feeling confident to return … we are well prepared!  Good to support your learning … as well as your wellbeing & mental health  You have all been brilliant … we are proud of you all!  Purpose is to support any gaps in knowledge and review your learning  Year 12 to return on 15 June  Year 10 to return on 22 June  25% of 317 Year 10 & 12 cohort = 79 max on site  Plus Key Worker children

MR MARTIN - TIMETABLES …

Year 12:

 You will experience each of your 3 subjects / week … for two weeks – i.e. 6 Sessions.  Weeks of 15 June & 29 June.  Timetable A/B – Pay attention to the timetable!

Year 10:

 Will experience each of your 8 subjects over two weeks – i.e. 8 Sessions  Each session is 80 minutes long.  Weeks of 22 June & 06 July.  You will have all had a coloured timetable home – you must bring it with you.  Maximum class sizes of 10.  Understand your timetable & where you need to be before you attend school.  Teachers on rota explanation – over two weeks you will see all key teachers.

MR HIND – TEACHING & LEARNING …

 Tutorial sessions – ‘Face to Face’  Review / Reteach key aspects of work set during closure.  Work on the depth of understanding: might be superficial  Teach topics missed out: to difficult to set remotely on SMHWK  Gap analysis: activities to work out what you do & don’t know i.

Yr 10: Could use Yr 10 exams materials no Exams / Tests.

ii.

Yr 12 Only: Set an appropriate Hwk extension task: 1st to 2nd week to assess knowledge gained.

 Get to an agreed starting point ready for September: Set Summer work  Intervening Week NOT in school for Tutorials: Set SMHWK lessons as per normal  All Work set on SMHWK for anyone unable to come to school

MR HIND – WHAT YOU NEED TO DO …

 Prepare the night before  Come equipped: books & folders / stationary & paper – No sharing  Check that work and notes are organised and in the right order  Review the work you have done over lockdown so you are ready for learning  Returning to school is an incentive to get caught up!  We look forward to seeing you all!

MR SINCLAIR – BEHAVIOUR, HEALTH & SAFETY

 The 8 Point Safety & Behaviour Plan  Present your colour timetable on the gates  Only in these areas of school – no socialising in other areas  Social distancing to be maintained to at all times  Lesson One will include a health & safety reminder  Hard surfaces will be cleaned between sessions … a day cleaner on site everyday  Regular handwashing and use of hand sanitiser is essential and will be promoted  Wear expected dress / uniform and aim to wash your clothes between school days  Bring a packed lunch and PPE if needed for the day

MR SINCLAIR – PPE INFORMATION …

 PPE: Face coverings / gloves will be allowed … masks to be sensible please!  Students do not need to wear PPE to return to school … it is optional & personal choice  Face coverings MUST be used if travelling on public transport from 15 June  Don’t arrive with a group of friends and others from outside of your household  NHS Test & Trace – the school will be working with and promoting this system

 We want you to enjoy being able to return to school in a safe environment  After 12 weeks away from school … it will be a good time to return  We have certainly missed you all!  Our systems may seem stringent … but we just want you to be safe  Break time snack and cold drink for ALL students and staff on the yards  Any questions or concerns please EMAIL student absence or Year Lead tabs
