  6. WHAT IS THE FEEDBACK WE GOT FROM RECREATIONAL CRAFT OWNERS? What are the main problems that define the current situation? - With the - Many are not aware that end-of-life boats is a problem in the EU and that the abandonment of boats can be a hazard to health, safety and the environment. -Lack of (or little) information is provided to boat owners. - Abandonment of recreational craft and other bad practices currently do exist. -Little knowledge of businesses/individuals that actively dismantle and recycle recreational craft. -Emotional bond of recreational craft owners with their recreational craft fuels difficulty when addressing dismantling and recycling issues.
