RFP Overview

  • Title: Longitudinal Data Linkages for Assessment of Health Services

Utilization and Costs, Social Services Utilization, or Educational Outcomes for Children with Birth Defects

  • Overview:
  • This project is funded using federal funds from the Department of Health and

Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The project is administrated by the March of Dimes Foundation and is subject to all applicable federal requirements.

  • The March of Dimes, in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and

Prevention’s (CDC) National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities, intends to award one to three grants to enable longitudinal data linkages between birth defects surveillance data, vital records data, hospital discharge data, and at least one other data source.

  • Awardees will be expected to complete activities in the following project areas:

1) project management and timeline; 2) dataset identification and linkage; 3) quality assurance and control; 4) collaboration; and 5) progress reporting.

  • The award duration is 1 year.
  • The total amount of funding available is approximately $225,000
  • We intend to award 1 – 3 grants, ranging from $75,000 - $200,000
  • Applications will be reviewed by experts external and internal to March of

Dimes. Task Deadline Letter of intent (LOI) due February 13, 2015, 5pm EST (required) Application due March 19, 2015, 5pm EDT Anticipated award date May 5, 2015
