Beta Upsilon Chi (BYX) Brothers Under Christ Founded in 1985 Established at Clemson in 2012 Organization and Chapter History Nationally Founded in 1985 at the University of Texas at Austin ~40 Active Chapters across the nation
○ Founded in 1985 at the University of Texas at Austin ○ ~40 Active Chapters across the nation ○ Local chapters include UGA, UNC-CH, and USC
○ Founded in 2012 ○ Diversity of majors, denominations, homestates, and backgrounds ○ About 60 Brothers active in the fraternity right now! ○ We’ve had at least two of the highest overall, new member, and continuing member GPAs since our founding.
○ Drink only water for 10 days, while donating the money you would normally spend on drinks and coffees to Living Water International to build clean water wells where they are needed the
○ Last year we raised $1,050 for this campaign.
○ Annual Ravenel Elementary School Fall Festival Volunteers ○ Potters Place Work Days ○ We did 125 hours of local service in Spring 2020 and 100 hours in Fall 2019.
○ Weekend Long Event in the Spring ○ Away from Clemson ○ With a few other chapters
○ Friday Night Event in the Fall ○ 1-2 hours from Clemson ○ With one or two other chapters
○ Weekend long events ○ Day Trips to Top Golf and other local places ○ Spontaneous Brother Only Events
○ Date Nights ○ BYX and Does: Skeet Shoot
○ Annual Trip to Israel in the Summer ○ Annual Trip to Dallas for New Officers and leading brothers in November ○ Ski Trip in January
All of our events are dry, but we have events like the following:
