Survey
(CHKS)

administered

7,
9,
11
and

Berkeley
Technology
 Academy
(Btech).

Comprehensive
High

separate
from

School.

 • CHKS
provides
informaQon
to
facilitate
prevenQon
and
early
 intervenQon
educaQon.

Delaying
the
onset
of
risk
behaviors
 reduces
the
level
of
involvement
and
related
problems.
 • CHKS
data
are
used
widely
by
many
public
agencies
including
 the
City
of
Berkeley’s
Public
Health
Department.

CHKS

to

bullying/
harassment
than

State.

increased
percentage

 feeling
safe

the

school
(56%)
than
outside

school

feeling
safe

school;
these
rates
are
all
 higher
than
the
State.

weapons

gang

membership
in
a
protected
class
(disability,
 gender,
