  2. Objectives • Parents will be familiar with the graduation and TOPS requirements for the graduating class of 2018 and beyond. • Parents will be familiar with the Career Pathways available to BCHS students. • Parents will identify the core courses that require an End of Course (EOC) state test.

  3. High School Diploma TOPS University Jump Start TOPS Tech Beginning with the Class of 2018 (current 9 th graders)

  4. Graduation Requirements TOPS University Diploma Track English 4 Units English I, II, III and IV Math 4 Units Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Advanced Math or beyond (Pre-Calculus, Calculus) Science 4 Units Biology, Chemistry and Physical Science, Environmental Science or any science beyond Chemistry Social Studies 4 Units Civics, US History, and World Geography / AP Human Geography, and World History / AP World History Health ½ Unit Physical Education 1 ½ Units Foreign Language-2 Units 2 Units from the same foreign language Arts-1 Units Fine Arts Survey or one unit of Art, Dance, Music, Theatre, or Speech III and IV (combined) Electivies-3 Total-24 Units

  10. Four TOPS Awards 1. Opportunity – GPA 2.5 / ACT 20 / Tuition 2. Performance – GPA 3.0 / ACT 23 / Tuition + $400 3. Honors – GPA 3.0 / ACT 27 / Tuition + $800 4. TOPS Tech – GPA 2.5 / ACT 17 / Tuition Only for Technical College or Technical Training
