AUDRA MORRICE Celebrity chef | Presenter |Entrepreneur | MasterChef Judge | The “Nigella of Asia” About Audra: Hailed by Australian media as “the Nigella of Asia,” Audra Morrice is a chef, author, television presenter and the producer of a range of all-natural, gluten-free products. A graduate in Economics and Japanese, Audra left her very successful telecommunications career to follow her passion for food. A finalist in MasterChef Australia 2012, she has extended her affiliation with the international TV juggernaut to become co- host and judge on MasterChef Asia in 2015 and, currently, as a MasterChef Singapore judge. Audra’s own cooking series, Tasty Conversations , is on regular rotation on SBS Food Network in Australia and FYI across Asia. Her first cookbook, My Kitchen, Your Table , was released in 2015 to great acclaim. Her new book, Cook & Feast , is now available in Singapore and will be released in Australia in late 2019. Her range of Australian-made, all-natural, gluten- free relishes, jams and mayos are available at selected retail outlets in Sydney and Singapore and online. Audra operates a catering business in Sydney and has successfully headlined numerous corporate dining events for such clients as Lexus, St George, Westpac, AAPT, Nextgen, Optus, Young & Rubicam, and the Prime Minister of Singapore. She also teaches hands-on cooking classes and bespoke corporate programs in Sydney and Singapore. Audra has MC’d , hosted and/or cooked at many high-profile events, including the MasterChef Dining & Bar at the Intercontinental Singapore in 2016; A Culinary Evening with Audra Morrice at The Singapore Marriott Tangs Plaza in 2017; for the 2018 World Gourmet Summit; and at Como at Candlenut, presenting her favourite dishes from her books. A prominent figure in both Singaporean and Australian tourism, Audra collaborated with Accor Plus in 2017 to offer a guided food and culture tour of Singapore, taking guests off the beaten track and visiting her favourite food haunts. Subsequently, she became an ambassador for the Singapore Tourism Board heading the “Get Lost and Find the Real Singapore” and “Celebrity Concierge” campaigns, the latter alongside Tetsuya Wakuda, Antonia Kidman and Tom Williams. In a role reversal, Audra also headlined the Qantas/Destination NSW “ Sydneyporean ” campaign in 2017, showcasing some of the best of Sydney’s local food scene. Audra provides consultancy services for cafes and restaurants in Sydney and has consulted for Batu Batu, a private resort off the coast of Malaysia, working on menu creation, staff training and operational changes to achieve a more sustainable environment and operation. Audra is a loyal supporter of the Nelune Foundation, founded by Nelune Rajapakse OAM and Anna Guillan AM, and donates her dining experiences to the charity’s annual Lilac Ball in September.
