Associate Principal Overview

• Leadership Directors met with principals for feedback
• n administrative teams:

○ Principals feel that role of Associate Principal is critical to Principal Talent Management. ○ Some Associate Principals may benefit in their growth from a transfer to another building. ○ Principals provided evidence for potential demotions.

Staff Recommendations

• Conversion to 12-month Assistant Principals at the Elementary Level

○ $8625 per school (39 schools) = $336,375 ○ Pilot 5: ES Associate Principal (5 schools) = $43,125

• Restructure Administrative Titles at the Secondary Level (based on

Principal and Leadership Feedback) ○ Reduction of the number of Associate Principals at the Secondary Level ■ Middle School Level: 5 High School Level: 5 ■ Associates to 12-month APs: Middle: 7 High: 6

• Recommended at least a 12-month Assistant Principal at every school
