Dual Enrollment

  • Ms. Magro

DMAGRO@NVCC.EDU 18 Credits Maximum per semester

Dual Enrollment Courses - are marked with a DE. All dual enrollment classes will give you a full weight quality

  • point. Taking theses courses is an opportunity to receive

guaranteed college credit if you pass the course. Passing the NOVA Placement Exam - Required for all students interested in taking a Dual Enrolled class. 10th graders will be taking the placement test in the spring. DE Considerations -

  • Rising 10th graders must have a 3.25 GPA after the

end of 9th grade (including summer school, if you attend) to be eligible.

  • There is a limit to the number of dual enrolled

credits that you can take per semester, and different courses have different numbers of credits. Therefore, you MAY NOT be able to take every dual enrolled class that you sign up for/are eligible for.

  • Do Not overload your schedule with DE classes -

keep in mind that if you want to drop one in the Fall, you may have to drop another due to scheduling.
