Ø Direct aquifer recharge (aquifer recharge wells):

ü Surface water: must meet primary and secondary drinking water standards ü Reclaimed water: difficult to permit under existing regulations

• Indirect aquifer recharge (Rapid Infiltration Basins [RIBs],

reservoirs, sinks, wetlands, or storage ponds):

ü Surface water: no specific treatment regulations; however, FDEP reserves the right to review on case-by-case basis ü Reclaimed water: more restrictive than for surface water, but may be achieved (more to come – Task 2)
