District Goal 1: Increase the number of students who move up from Approaching or Below to either Meeting or Exceeding in Math (80%) and English Language Arts (90%):

  • Continued focus on using data to inform instruction -- teaching the student not

just the curriculum.

  • Using Linkit!, chapter assessments and ongoing daily assessments to identify

strengths and areas to strengthen.

  • Focusing on the structure of the WIN period as a way to meet individual needs.
  • Continued parent academies and communication with parents regarding supporting

students at home.

  • Review of additional District resources and leveraging them to meet student needs.
  • Continued professional development in a Guided Math Workshop and a

Balanced Literacy approach to instruction.

  • Increased focus on articulation across grade levels to ensure consistency of

teaching practice.
