Leadership Learning Curriculum

"I believe that the Leadership Symposium is a vital resource for any up and coming leader within the perfusion community. It was a great opportunity to interact with fellow perfusionists and the current leaders in our field. Also, it is great to know that our national society sees an importance in developing our future leaders.”

AmSECT: An Organization for Everyone

  • This society exists by volunteer perfusionists who work for the benefit of its members.
  • This society exists due to perfusionists who pay dues to support it, and generous support from
  • ur manufacturer partners.
  • It is large enough and its operations complex enough that is must have professional

management.

  • This society exists to promote our profession and represent all of the various interests of the

profession and all who practice within the profession.

  • This society has been sustained, survived, and at times thrived by the tenacity of dedicated

colleagues.

  • It’s getting harder to offer the array of services, and the planned new services, because of

dwindling membership support. (We continue to make difficult decisions trimming budgets)

  • A big hurdle is dwindling support from our younger colleagues, despite the fact that no other
  • rganization has consistently offered the student support as has AmSECT.
  • AmSECT is the largest and longest lived of organizations dedicated to our profession.
  • AmSECT is only as strong and as good as member support allows it to be.
  • Bob says “AmSECT is worthy of the support of every perfusionist working in this country”.
slide-63
SLIDE 63

  • Those of us who volunteer for the society thank you for

your membership support and what it enables us to do.
