ALAC Policy Development Process
How does the ALAC contribute to ICANN policy development? Public Policy statements are received from SOs or ICANN for public comment
ALAC posts the announcement of Public Policy on its email lists ALAC may create a working group to draft some comments At-Large and RALOs are notified of the comments and are invited to submit their own comments. The WG will create a final draft statement taking public comments into consideration ALAC votes on whether to formally accept the final draft statement.
If approved, the Public policy comment from the ALAC is sent to the ICANN Board.
