  • “We are committed to providing high quality education to raise a generation of continuous

learners who are dedicated to the community and have high moral Islamic values and strong leadership skills”.

  • Our goal is to help every child to learn and acquire Islamic knowledge alongside building a solid

foundation in all academic subjects. This will help them develop and gain true Islamic values and thereby make a correct moral and social contribution to the society in which they live in.

  • ‘An excellent internationally recognised education with Islamic identity’.
  • Every child has the potential to succeed and there are no excuses not to achieve that
  • success. We expect every Al Jazeera student to graduate from our academy with the

qualifications, skills and confidence to achieve their ambitions and go on to higher education or their chosen career.

  • Our students are Creative learners today and the future leaders of tomorrow!
  • We aspire towards being a progressive institution of learning experiences by offering a quality

What to expect from AJA

slide-7
SLIDE 7
  • Good attendance is essential to your child’s learning. We must build a good foundation and

excellent habits now. If your child is absent for any reason, you must provide a letter of explanation to the school. Expected attendance should be higher than 90%.

  • Please make sure you put your child’s name onto every item of clothing, this includes the extra set
  • f clothes they will bring ( incase of spillages etc.).
  • We encourage the children to adopt a healthy lifestyle and therefore we ask that a piece of fruit

is brought in to share with the others during snack time.

  • AJA promotes well-balanced healthy living. We encourage physical activity every day and ask

that all children maintain a routine bedtime (7pm). Lunch boxes should contain many healthy

  • ptions, with limited treats.
  • We do not celebrate birthdays at AJA
  • Many children have allergies. To keep all children safe please understand that we are unable to

accept cakes or sweets as treats.

  • The cubbies where the bags are placed are suitable for small lunch bags and jackets. Please do

not bring roller bags in as they take up too much room. Your child’s name should also be on the bag.

Things you need to know.

  • As you can imagine we use a large amount of tissues in KG as the children frequently suffer from

colds and runny noses. Please help your child to take care of themselves by providing tissues if they have a cold.

  • We use a lot of junk materials in KG for model making. If you are able to collect things like empty

cereal boxes, egg boxes, cardboard tubes etc. we would be very grateful for them.

  • Hats and Water bottles. Please make sure your child has a hat to protect them from the sun when

we go outside. If you wish your child to use sunscreen then please provide a bottle in their bags. Each child should also bring a water bottle to school everyday. Please ensure that all items have names on.

  • Most KG children still need naps during the day, especially as they will be active for periods of

time, so we set aside time in the day so they can slow down and rest so they are more alert for the rest of the day. To make this more comfortable for your child, we ask that your child brings in their own small pillow/cushion with their name on which can be taken home at the end of each term to be replaced or washed.
