How it worked: This years competition included two components. Participation points and 2 separate energy saving competitions, Thanksgiving week and Spring Break. The participation part of the competition was calculated based on involvement in Energy Committee meeting and participation in campus initiatives to promote energy awareness. These points will be added to your average savings over the 2 separate usage competitions. (Example: Thanksgiving Break you save 25% and Spring Break you save 20%. That is an average savings of 22.5%! Let’s say you had accumulated 50 participation points, add your 22.5-point average savings from the competitions and you would have a total of 72.5 points for the competition!)
