  20. Wha What ha happe ppens ns at a Ventur ure • The Venture is broken into 4 key parts: • The Pre Tour - Queenstown (Optional – 4 Days) • The Venture Phase One – Expeditions (5 Days) • The Venture Phase Two – Onsite (6 Days) • The Post Tour - Rotorua (Included – 4 Days)

  21. Wha What to Bring ng • Suggested gear list in Newsletter 4 • Your expedition may have extra gear requirements • Make sure you bring this equipment as well • Communicated by your Unit Leaders and Expedition managers

  22. Pr Pre Tour and Post Stay - Ac Accommodation • All sleeping accommodation is single gender! • There are ramifications for anyone found in rooms other than their own • Please DO NOT swap rooms. • In an emergency we need to be able to find everyone.

Pr Pre Tour and Post Stay – Ac Activity Waivers • Pre Tour and Post Stay activity waivers are OVERDUE (by several months) • If you have not submitted your waivers, or they have been rejected, you must upload them ASAP • If we do not have your waivers, you will not be permitted to attend the activities that you have paid for

  33. Ar Arriving at the Venture • Check in and receive your ID Card, meet your new Unit • Opening ceremony held on site on the evening of the 31 st • Followed by New Years Eve party • “Around The World” • Expeditions leave morning of 1 st January

  34. Ac Accommodation • Venturers and Leaders camp in single gender tents • Expedition units assigned camping areas onsite • Tent sharing only with: • Venturers of the same gender • Within the same expedition unit • We highly recommend having your own!

Ph Phas ase e One - Expe Expedi ditions ns • 4 nights and 5 days • Activities away from the Kaiwaka site • Expeditions spread all over the Upper North Island • All expeditions will have contact with the Venture Organising Committee • Other contact methods (like mobiles) will be limited depending on the site • Excess gear can be stored on site during the expedition phase. • We will supply garbage bags and tags for this purpose
