What is Air Force ROTC

  • A challenging endeavor used to develop

individuals aspiring to become an officer in the US Air Force

– Commission begins as a 2nd Lieutenant – Contingent upon graduation and completion of Air Force ROTC requirements.

Requirements

  • Maintain full time student status
  • Pass a DODMERB examination

– Dept of Defense Medical Examination Review Board

  • Achieve a Passing Physical Fitness Assessment

score

  • Minimum 2.0 college GPA requirement

– 2.5 GPA requirement for scholarship cadets

  • Achieve a passing AFOQT score

– During freshman year – Learn about the structure, mission, and professionalism of the Air Force – Discover Air Force opportunities and enhance communication skills

– Learn about the employment and importance of air power – Includes covering importance of leadership, team building and related skills – Preparing for Field Training
