Located just off of Martyr’s Square, this massive and domineering mosque is distinguished by its Ottoman and Oriental architectural styling. The mosque was built with yellow stones and an enormous blue cupola, and features four minarets that stand 65 meters high. The mosque contains the grave of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, who was assassinated in 2005.
