Why UNRCPD?
- 1. UNRCPD can take the Asia-Pacific approach for Asia- Pacific region.
It can be broken down for 5 subregional (Central Asia, East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia and Pacific) approach.
- 2. UNRCPD has direct and close contact with the Countries in the
region and can provide prompt responses to requests from Countries.
- 3. Asia-Pacific region is very diverse so that the face to face
relationships which UNRCPD has developed are key to the work undertaken by the Centre in assisting Countries.
