Now they can...
Empatico offers a free tool, using live video technology and activities, for teachers to connect their classrooms with others around the world. We are creating a global movement to spread kindness and empathy, reaching the future generation at a time when the world needs it the most.
empatico.org The Opportunity
Empatico is a free tool for teachers
to connect their classroom with others around the world using a combination of technology and classroom activities. The tool was developed by a team of 100+ global experts in the fields
- f education, technology, and child psychology. Empatico was
created by teachers for teachers. Classrooms are matched through an algorithm using criteria of proximity, timezone, activity interest, and students’ ages. The Empatico site is available in English, Spanish and French.

Teacher Without Empatico Empatico is one platform, with a community of thousands of teachers, that
incorporates live video and message technology, matching algorithm, file-sharing, and classroom
- activities. Instead of having to use multiple platforms to find a teacher, discuss ideas, find an
activity, schedule the exchange, and hold the exchange on different platforms, it can all be done with Empatico alone.

Empatico’s core features
empatico.org
Children are the best catalyst for change.
We focus on ages 6-11. Within this range, positive experiences with others who are different can strongly influence their developing perceptions of the world. Children’s ability to learn from different perspectives stimulates creativity and enhances problem-solving skills which further supports an individual's ability to be successful later in life - at work and at home.
The Kids
Empatico activities are easily integrated into a educator’’s existing curriculum.
They are age-appropriate and research-based.

The Activities
We partnered with education experts to design activities that are meaningful for students while adding value to existing school curriculums. Our activities support a range of student learning goals and skills required for regional, national, and international standards (e.g., International Baccalaureate, U.S. State Standards), and global collaboration/technology standards (e.g., ISTE, TeachSDGs).

Empatico activities help students learn and practice crucial life skills such as perspective taking, critical thinking, cooperation, and respectful communication.
Theory of Change
Research suggests that social and emotional skills are just as important as traditional academic skills (e.g. science or math) for success in the workplace. Students have the opportunity to learn about different perspectives and practice interpersonal skills which are crucial for building cross-cultural relationships later in life. The opportunity to interact, cooperate, and build relationships with people from different backgrounds and cultures will contribute to students’ success and to the success of our society in the future.
