to the Italian Embassy (see MIUR Circular Circolare available online http://www.studiare-in- italia.it/studentistranieri/ as soon as ready). Section 2 – QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • The entry to first-cycle programmes is entitled with one of the qualifications:

 Official final secondary school leaving certificate/ diploma (minimum duration 5 years). Applications can be submitted before receiving the Diploma, which has to be achieved before 31 July, 2018 or the enrolment will be invalid.  Diploma of secondary education issued by a qualified education institution, of a minimum duration equal to 4 years where it is not necessary the supplementary yearly course. In this case, the candidate shall pass the educational debit by March 31st, 2020, otherwise the student will repeat the first year.  International qualification achieved after at least 12 years of schooling, which entitles the entry to comparable first-cycle programme in the relevant foreign system. In the case where a national test or final exam is necessary to enter a higher education institution, then such a request is also mandatory to enter the Italian programme (see also MIUR statement available on http://www.studiare-in-italia/studentistranieri/ as soon as ready).   • Language Requirement: Applicants shall possess an appropriate English language knowledge, in order to

attend classes (B2 LEVEL- CEFR). Evidence of the language requirements has to be certified by no later than 30 September 2019 (end of the first year of the degree programme). Shall the student not provide any English certificate, the degree programme Board will nominate a Committee to evaluate the level of English

  • knowledge. Should the students not satisfy the language requirements, he/she will not be allowed to sit exams

for the second year. List of accepted certificates/ conditions:  FCE - First Certificate in English;  BEC - Business English Certificate Vantage;  BEC - Business English Certificate Higher;  IIELTS (Academic) minimum score 5,5 out of 9;  TOEFL (valid) 80 out of 120 (internet based);  CAE - Certificate in Advanced English;  CPE - Certificate of Proficiency in English;  Diploma IB (International Baccalaureate) for High School or GCE (General Certificate of Education) in English (the 50% of the teaching activities should be in English);  Transcript of records proving English B2 level as exam taken in a previous university study plan;  English Native speaker status.

  • In order to apply to the selection procedure, please follow these steps:

APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR NON-EU CITIZENS RESIDENT ABROAD International students must follow MIUR Regulations for access (Ministry of Education) available online www.studiare- in-italia/studentistranieri/ In particular:

  • Next to complying with the rules and deadlines established by the University of Bologna, you must pre-enrol at

the Italian Embassy or Consulate in your country in April/May 2018.

  • Have a qualification that entitles you to access the University

N.B. NON-EU students withdrawing from their studies will lose all requirements for staying in Italy, and the residence permit will be cancelled. In such a case, the candidate shall start the pre-enrollment procedure anew from the Italian representative in their home country, according to terms and conditions settled by the Minister of Foreign Affairs (MAE) in agreement with MIUR and Minister of Interior. Section 4 – SKILL ASSESSMENT The skills assessment will evaluate the preparation, motivation and language skills of all candidates. There is no written access test for the programme in International Tourism and Leisure Industries. A Scientific Committee, nominated by the Board of the School of Economics, Management and Statistics will evaluate the applicants’ dossier and will assign points according to the following evaluation criteria:

  • Merit and study background (quality of the qualifications, grades in the single subjects and final grade from the

last 2 year of school): max 60 points

  • Motivation (quality and effectiveness of motivation letter contents): max 25 points
  • Studying or working experience (according to the CV and any other submitted documents): max 10 points
  • English language certificate B2 level and above (CEFR) (not compulsory): max 5 points

Skill assessments are valid with a score equal to, or higher than, 60/100. Additional learning requirements (also known as OFA) Test Before the beginning of the lectures, all admitted students have to prove good command of mathematics. Should a student fail the Math test he/she will receive an additional learning requirement (also known as OFA), this will not prevent the enrollment. The OFA must be fulfilled by passing Math exam or the specific OFA test, within the deadline set by the University, at the Rimini Campus. The deadlines will be available online. Students who receive the OFA will be enrolled in the academic year 2019/2020 in the second year under condition, until they fulfill the OFA test by the latest deadline, March 31, 2020; students who fail to pass the OFA by then, will repeat the first year. Students with a TOLC certification, (scored equal or higher than 3,5 in the Math section) and students with SAT certification (scored equal or higher than 400 in Math) are exempted from OFA TEST. Section 5 – ADMISSION RANKING LIST THE RANKING LIST The admission ranking will be available after each intake with a score out of 100. Candidates are listed in decreasing

  • rder of the general score. In case of equal score between candidates, the youngest will precede.

Despite available places, candidates with a score lower than 60/100 are not eligible to enrolment in the degree programme International Tourism and Leisure Industries. notification will be e-mailed. Results will be available according to the general timeline (see page 2). N.B. Pay attention to the notification on the personal UNIBO profile, eligible candidates will be required to confirm explicitly their declaration of interest, in order to change status into successful. RESULTS  Successful (= top ranked candidates with a score higher than 60/100) can proceed with enrolment within due

  • date. Should a candidate miss the deadline, the name will be dismissed from the ranking list.

 Eligible (= candidates with positive evaluation 60/100 and up) to enrolment, but not within the reserved quota for that intake. They can declare interest to enrolment, and will be able to proceed under condition some successful candidates do not finalize enrolment within due date, or they can apply anew in the next intake.  Not eligible (= less than 60/100) not eligible to enrolment, despite available places. Section 6 - ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE WHEN? According to general timeline (see page 2). For no reason deadlines can be delayed. WHAT TO DO?

  • In case of first enrolment to University, go to next A.
  • In case of transfer or change of the degree programme, go to B and C
  • Transfer: if you are a student in a different University and you want to transfer to University of Bologna go to B
  • Change of degree programme: if you are a student of a different degree programme within the University of

Bologna, you have 2 options:

  • Are you a Unibo student who applied in intake A or B? Follow instructions C.1;
  • Are you a Unibo student who applied in intake C? Follow instructions C.2

A. WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF FIRST ENROLMENT TO UNIVERSITY?

  • 1. Login on line www.studentionline.unibo.it with personal username and password;
  • 2. Select ENROLMENT, then FIRST CYCLE DEGREE. You will find here the list of all degree programmes.

B. WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF ENROLMENT AT ANY OTHER UNIVERSITY AND WANT TO TRANSFER TO THE UNIVERSITY OF BOLOGNA?

  • 1. Follow instruction for enrolment as A, specifying the intention of transferring from another university;
  • 2. Provide first instalment payment within deadline as GENERAL TIMELINE;
  • 3. Submit transfer request to the original University.

An additional transfer fees is required

  • C. CANDIDATES ENROLED IN OTHER DEGREE PROGRAMME OF THE UNIVERSITY OF
