Baccalaureate curriculum What is a baccalaureate education: • More than the sum of its parts • KS3: International curriculum includes the National Curriculum • KS4 includes EBacc (English, Mathematics, 2x Science subjects, History or Geography and a foreign language) • International Sixth Form including International Baccalaureate Programmes • Your child’s journey 2020 -2027 (11-19) • National Baccalaureate • Core Learning, Personal Development, Personal Project “Effective teaching, an outstanding curriculum offer and strong leadership have led to continually improving results in public examinations.” Ofsted 2017

  6. Language Learning • Year 7 combination of French/German, German/Spanish, French/Spanish or Chinese (Mandarin Excellence Programme) • Year 8 choose GCSE options. Students will either continue with 2 languages studied in Year 7 or drop one to pick up either Italian, Russian or Japanese. Students on the Mandarin Excellence Programme continue with Chinese only and continue to GCSE • All students study a language in the Sixth Form • Sixth Form beginner courses (Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic) • IB language (French, German, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Italian) • A Levels (French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian) • Arabic “Attainment and progress in modern foreign languages are particularly impressive. In 2016, for example, all pupils studied at least one foreign language with 96% sitting at least one GCSE and 80% of them achieving an A*-C grade. This represented progress of between half a grade and a full grade more than the average for disadvantaged and advantaged pupils. ” Ofsted 2017
