LE BARP : It’s so good here…

Le Barp is a municipality of the South West of France, located in the region of New Aquitaine, more precisely in the Department of

• Gironde. It is located in the Landes Forest, on the Landes de Gas-

cogne Regional Natural Park territory. Le Barp is on the way from Tours to Santiago de Compostela and many pilgrims go through Le Barp every year. Le Barp hosts 5410 inhabitants.

AN ECONOMIC CENTRE IN EXPANSION

Le Barp has a well-maintained and highly valued large forest heritage. The town is in line with a dynamic generated by the activities zone ZAE Eyrialis which is managed by the Community of Municipalities of the Val de l’Eyre. It offers a strategic position halfway between Bordeaux and Arcachon, close to the A63 highway, to the airport (38 kilometres/23.598 miles), and to the Laser Mejagoule at the CEA-CESTA Center. Laseris Park, located in the Municipality of Le Barp, which is very close to CEA- CESTA large lasers and the Laser and Plasma Institute, welcomes the important in- dustrialists which support the Laser Megajoule, but it welcomes also high technology companies or leading companies in their market.

In Le Barp, more than 700 students attend the different educational institutions. « Early childhood is a key priority for the city. Then, it tries to find an appropriate solution for each family, such as collective or individual reception of children, on a regular or occasional basis. » To make family arrangement easier, a structure multi-host and a Relay Assistants Nursery offer a reception for 3 months old chil- dren who enter nursery school. « Children and young people reception, their education and personal development are a priority for our city. » Extracurricular tjme : Extended Day Programs help families to conciliate professional life, personal life and school schedules at the same tjme.
