Monday - May 11, 2020

Read for 20 minutes and retell the story to someone. Lexia - 15 minutes a day Reading - Log into iReady through the Clever page (link). Click on “Reading” and complete “Next Lesson” under My Path. Math - Watch the Video from NumberRock on telling time to the nearest 5 minutes. Watch and singalong with this singalong video. Share what you learned with a family member about telling time to the nearest 5 minutes. Writing - Listen to the writing prompt and write a story about a Magical box. *Science/SS - Have you ever wondered why trees grows so tall? In this Mystery Science video, Doug talks about why this happens. If you can, try the activity with your family and send pictures to your teacher! Guidance - Keep Calm and Stay Healthy! Read for 20 minutes and retell the story to someone. Lexia - 15 minutes a day Reading - Flipgrid - Character Math - Move the green minute hand to make the following times: 12:00, 12:15, 12:30, 12:45, 1:00, 1:15, 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, and 3:00. Write a growing up poem, about how you've changed since you were younger. Start each sentence with the phrase "I used to . . ." and end it with, "but now . . ." "I used to be afraid of fire engines. Now I love the color red!"( This is an example). Science/SS - We know that a cactus grows in the desert, and that the desert doesn’t get much rain, but, should you water a cactus?
