Time TODAY) Current 8th grade students do NOT have a transcript yet, unless you have taken/are taking Spanish 1 or 2,

• r Algebra 1 in JH.
• c. discuss courses and planning sheet with parents
• 2. Get parent signature (Required)
• 3. Turn in the Elective Selection Sheet to your LA/English

teacher by January 26!!!

Counselor Follow-Up Meeting

Counselor will hold a follow-up meeting in English Classrooms January 29-February 2

• Your English Teacher will return your Elective course

selection sheet to you!

• You will complete the Template on the back of your

Elective selection sheet. We will assist you in the process.

• Each student will log in to the computer

Counselor Follow-Up Meeting

• Using the template on the back of the Elective Selection

Sheet you will select your electives online.

• The counselors/teachers will review your choices and

make sure they match the selection sheet choices

• Then you will submit your selections.

for the course, and you will be expected to take it over and over and over again until you pass the course!

• So what is an elective?

○ An elective is a course which you totally get to

• choose. The specific course is not required, but

will be counted as credits for you for graduation. ○ Total of 23 credits is required for graduation.

• We have provided a 9th Grade Elective Options

Document for you to take home. This sheet has the descriptions of the electives you are permitted to take as a 9th grade student!

• It is required that you either choose to complete PE

Waivers for your PE requirements or you must take at least one PE course during 9th grade!
