Training Updates

- School Leadership Academy
School Leadership Academy – – We brought 200 school leaders (principals, assistant principals, and other leaders ) together over four days to build skill and knowledge on creating strong school cultures, coaching and developing teachers, and managing school operations.
New Principal Orientation ion – – We brought our 9 new principals together for overviews of critical RPS systems and processes (e.g., budget, evaluation, data, and communications) needed to successfully launch the year.
New Teacher Orientat eacher Orientation ion – – We will bring together over 200 teachers new to RPS over the next five days at New Teacher Institute to provide training on how to access RPS curricular resources and to introduce culturally responsive teaching practices.
Active Shooter T ive Shooter Training raining – – In partnership with RPD, we brought principals, assistant principals, athletic directors, and the school culture and security teams together to learn active shooter protocols to ensure student and staff safety.
Bus Operator Training raining – We brought more than 50 bus operator trainees together to complete driver training and review the RPS Code of Conduct for bus drivers.
Custodial Cr ial Crew Chief T ew Chief Training raining – – We will bring together 46 crew chiefs for custodial training and to review best practices for cleaning buildings and and using supplies.
Cafeteria Manager Training raining – – We brought together all cafeteria managers for an overview of risk management and health department protocols.
