Rosetta’s Philae probe made the first-ever landing on a comet when it touched down on Comet 67P/Churyumov–

  • Gerasimenko. Between the main players, two member companies of the Cluster:

→Selex-ES: developer of drill space and Rosetta’s solar panels, the largest ever built for a scientific mission. →Politecnico di Milano: developer of SD2 drill mounted on Philae lander. →Thales Alenia Space Italy: responsible for spacecraft assembly, integration and testing (AIT) of the probe.

2014:

LISA pathfinder inertial sensor was delivered to CGS- Compagnia Generale per lo Spazio in Milano. LISA is a crucial experiment which will enable scientists to detect gravitational waves in space.
