Façade Improvement Grant Program
- All commercial
property in the Oakland and Capitol Dr., and Wilson Dr. corridor is eligible
- Since 2004, the
program has granted $1.4 million dollars to qualified projects.
Façade Grant Program Changes for 2017
$300,000 will be turned over to CDA from
the Village Board/TIF #1 for façade purposes
Maximum grant will now be $10,000 Limited to $1,500 for signs, patios and
parklets
Business Incentive Fund
Like the Façade program, dollars are being transferred
to the CDA to continue program
BID staff promotes, educates, and assists applicants
in applying to the program
SEWRPC reviews all loan applications and provides
recommendation to the CDA for approval
Eligible activities include
Real property acquisition, building demolition, site
preparation, and similar site-related redevelopment activities to stimulate business development.
Interior and exterior building rehabilitation and new
construction.
Leasehold improvements; the acquisition of furniture, fixtures,
and equipment; and working capital.
