Dear Members , Life Members, Special Guests and families
Welcome to the Ripples St Marys Swimming Club 2008 Winter Presentation Night. We are both delighted and privileged that you have recognized the significance of this occasion by your presence, to join us in celebrating our swimmers’ achievements. The evening is planned to begin at 7.00pm with the President Paul Heaslip, giving the official welcome, followed by the recognition of the winter achievements of our swimmers. The very popular Trivia Rounds have been included once again to exhibit your Olympic and Paralympic Games sporting knowledge and we will conclude the night with some music for dancing. An agenda for the evening is below to use as a guide to the night’s proceedings. We are honoured to have the company of Ripples St Marys Swimming Club Life Members as well as Paralympic Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalist Peter Leek joining us tonight. They will be assisting us to recognize achievements of our swimmers by presenting some of the awards. We welcome back both the Life Members and Peter to Ripples St Marys Swimming Club and congratulate Peter on his
- utstanding success at the Paralympics.
Just a reminder, that this is a licensed venue and children are not permitted to go to the bar and must be in the care of their parents at all times. As a courtesy, please turn mobile phones to ‘silent’ when the presentation of awards begins . A lot of planning and hard work has gone into tonight’s presentation and thank you to everyone who contributed, especially the Race Committee and the Social Committee for organizing the venue. Tonight is a great opportunity to celebrate the winter achievements of our members and thank you for recognizing these achievements with your attendance. We hope that the night is an enjoyable one for you.
