Be Aware of Common Omissions

  • The plan does not need to be perfect. It should however -
  • Be able to be read and understood.
  • Contain the rear width of the lot.
  • Drawn to scale.
  • Identify all landscaping/hardscaping already installed, labeled

as existing.

  • Identify all new landscaping/hardscaping and all materials to

be used including example pictures for unique features, decorative rock, stamped concrete, pavers, sheds, and play equipment.

2.18.2020 Community Meeting Presentation

slide-21
SLIDE 21

Common Omissions Continued

  • Make sure that minimum required numbers of tree(s) and shrubs are

identified on the plan. These are based on the width of the lot as measured across the rear of the lot. The plot that is received in the closing process is a helpful document to reference.

2.18.2020 Community Meeting Presentation

slide-22
SLIDE 22

Common Omissions Continued

  • All living plant material should be labeled with the exact species of

the plant/tree, the size at installation, and in a location on your plan that it will not grow over property lines as the plant material matures.
