 HOME AND AWAY SCHEDULE -Teams playing each team in their division twice in a “home and away” format, but neutral sites should be considered  SELF SCHEDULING –Teams are responsible for creating their own schedules and submitting to KPL  LEAGUE SCHEDULING - KPL officials will step in to schedule if no mutually-agreeable dates can be set up  FALL PORTION –Teams should strive to schedule at least HALF (If not more) of their games during the Fall (11U & 12U must play half)  SPRING PORTION –Teams should strive to schedule the remainder of games during the Spring prior to State Cup

 By August 1st, all teams should submit their schedule through December 31st  By January 31st, all teams should submit their schedule through June 13th  FINAL SCHEDULE – For the Fall Season, will be posted by KPL no later than August 15th – Any changes from this official schedule will require a $150 rescheduling fee & must be approved by KPL Front Office Staff

 Each team can have a maximum of four (4) Blocked Out Dates throughout the KPL Season that will be considered IF the KPL Front Office has to schedule dates due to inability to self-schedule  Automatic Blocked Out Dates (NO EXCEPTIONS)  State Open Cup  Presidents Cup  Soccer Village Cup  GLC Dates – As assigned by GLC  ODP Dates – GREYED OUT

Home and Away + Neutral Sites

 Teams should strive for a one third split between all venues  If no neutral site games, it should be a 50/50 split between home and away

Neutral sites: When appropriate, may be utilized to minimize travel and provide:

 Better options for referee scheduling  Better league management and oversight  Improved observation and identification for the Kentucky and/or U.S. Youth Soccer Region II ODP

Travel Considerations

 If teams are travelling more than two (2) hours, games should not kickoff prior to 11am or after 5pm

Time Zones

 Game time will be listed as local time of the site

Scheduling Kickoff Times

 Game times should be set on the odd hours, for example 9am, 11am, 1pm, etc.

U.S. Soccer Best Practices & Scheduling Curriculum

 One Match per Day (RECOMMENDED)  If scheduling two games in one day, required minimum of four (4) hours between kickoff of those games.

Game Limitations

 No more than two (2) games per weekend  No more than three (3) games per week

 Rescheduling Games

 If games are not played for any reason other than forfeit, reschedule date must be determined within ten (10) days of

  • riginally scheduled date and KPL notified.

 Rescheduling Procedures

 If game is rescheduled, team representative must provide to KPL that window the following:

 The teams involved.  A listing of the division, age and gender.  The game number, if available.  The date, time and location of the rescheduled game.

 Rescheduling Issues  If teams cannot agree, KPL will assign a date/time.

KPL Matches take precedence over all youth matches, except:

 State Open Cup  President’s Cup  GLC or National League Games

Regional League, State Open Cup and any US Youth Soccer-sanctioned games MAY be used as a KPL Result, IF all rules/regulations of KPL are followed.

 No match officials are available  Unplayable weather conditions determined by referees  Unplayable field related to weather conditions determined by referees or local host  Direct conflict with rescheduled State Cup games or MRL games

 Rescheduling Fee - $150 fee will be assessed to the team

 KPL will collect all fees from teams on or around September 1st to cover referee fees for Fall portion after final schedule is posted.  Referee Fees – 11U & 12U - $45/team, U13 & U14 - $60/team  KPL invoices the teams for ½ of your schedule regardless of how many games you actually play.  KPL will pay all referee fees directly from those fees collected  KPL will pay all assigning fees from league dues previously collected

 Game Day Roster – 18 Players  Minimum 10 Player & Maximum 18 Player Roster  Club Passes Permitted  Club Pass Roster Forms must be completed, either online or paper form may be used to Club Pass a player  Secondary Rostered or Guest Players are not permitted  No more than (4) four players may rostered via Club Pass in a game.  No Individual Player may play in more than two (2) games in day or three (3) in a week

ADDING PLAYERS - If a team’s active roster drops below minimum number due to illness, injury or resignation that team may add players to their roster through registration procedures. ROSTER FREEZE DATE – Being reviewed by Technical Committee for use this year.

Accumulative Yellow Cards

 Any player who receives five (5) yellow cards or coach who receives three (3) documented, in referee’s official game report, warnings in three separate games over the course of a single playing season shall be suspended for the next played KPL game.  Two (2) yellow cards received during the same game will count as one (1) red card ONLY for accumulative suspension purposes.  It is primarily the responsibility of the club or team to follow ethical practices in enforcing this penalty.  The Director of Competition will track yellow card accumulation. This is an automatic suspension and not subject to a hearing.

Accumulative Red Cards Any coach, manager, team official or player receiving two (2) ejections in a single playing season may be suspended from participating in any further KPL games during that season. A KPL Disciplinary Hearing may be required.

Section 6.8 KPL and KSRA will REVIEW the schedule before it is finalized and may request/require changes. Section 6.9 Blocked out dates will be STATEWIDE Section 6.12 Any games that are canceled due to any reason MUST BE RESCHEDULED WITHIN 10 DAYS. If teams cannot agree to a game in those 10 days, KPL will assign a game date for them. Section 6.13 Once schedule is FINAL, NO CHANGES ARE PERMITTED. Only cancelations permitted are for reasons beyond team’s control, such as State Cup conflict, unplayable weather conditions, or field conditions, etc. If a schedule is to be changed, there is an AUTOMATIC $150 RESCHEDULING FEE.

Section 6.15 Home “Fields” must be declared by all teams prior to the start of the season. Games for that team/club must be played at that site. If they are played AT A DIFFERENT SITE more than 15 miles from THE HOME FIELD, the Home/Hosting team will be a STANDARD MILEAGE RATE for each official. Section 7.5 Schedule conflicts – If two teams through scheduling or rescheduling cannot agree upon a date, the KPL WILL ASSIGN A DATE. If teams cannot make that date, it will be declared a forfeit by one or both teams. Section 12.7 Club passed players limited to FOUR (4) per game Section 17.9 Home team is responsible for all game day and post-game paperwork.
