Farming Activities

Definition  Spray Operation  Harvest Operation

slide-18
SLIDE 18

18

  • Farming operations are activities performed against a

crop or harvest record

  • Use to plan and execute work
  • Accumulate costs based on operation details
  • Examples
  • Cultivating, planting, pruning, and irrigating
  • Inspecting (perform quality tests)
  • Spraying pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizer
  • Harvesting, cutting, and picking mature crops
  • Receiving harvested crop into inventory

  • Create a purchase order for the entire estimated quantity

during the first receipt (if you do not use Harvest operations).

  • Receive each weigh tag quantity on the associated purchase
  • rder and update inventory.
  • Enter multiple weigh tag receipts for each harvest.
  • Enter quality test results for each receipt.
  • Receive more than the estimated quantity on the purchase
  • rder.
  • Indicate the last receipt to close the weigh tag operation.
