The F+P 550 design is simple and light, and many resources went into creating harmony between the luminaire parts thus uniting them into a single weightless, stunning unit. The shade functionality elegantly expresses the philosophy that all parts of the product should have a purposeful reason for being there. F+P delivers performance for meeting rooms, reception areas, and libraries; as well as being a beautiful resource for energy efficient lighting in private homes. In 2009, Louis Poulsen launched F+P 550 - one of the first LED-based pendants - in cooperation with world-famous architects, Foster + Partners. 2
