NRCan Update

Forward Regulatory Plan 2014-2016 NRCan is working with the Canada-U.S. Regulatory Cooperation Council to advance Canada’s ability to align energy efficiency regulations with those in the U.S. Some mechanisms being considered include: powers to streamline NRCan’s ability to regulate; better use of incorporation by reference to maintain alignment; identifying efficiencies in the current national standards making process; greater collaboration with the U.S. in standards development (to reference jointly-made standards) and compliance

  • perations. This work may affect the form of future regulatory amendments.
