WALKABILITY
The walkability of the site strictly depends on the 5ft walkway of our site, along with the quality of pavement of the streetscape.
WALKABILITY
JALAN TAN HIOK NEE JALAN DHOBY
The pavements along Jalan Tan Hiok Nee are occupied by the cars parking on top of curbs, causing the streets to be narrower. The walkway is smaller than the usual 2.5m. The walkway is underutilised and is
- ccasionally occupied by homeless man.

The walkway is blocked by the seatings & tables of Restaurant Kin Hua. The walkway is occupied by the scattered shoes in front of a shop. The walkway is disrupted by the seatings & tables of Restaurant Tong Guan. The walkway is under construction. The walkway is blocked by the seatings & tables of Restaurant Hua Mui & remained unmaintained and dirty.

CONNECTIVITY
POTENTIAL The site open up the possibilities to connect the existing car park to the user
- f the building.
The multidirectional axes of the site created the freedom of accessibility to the existing walkway, forming the idea
- f a street within a street.
Through the introduction of a more
- rganised street crossing, it cuts down
the need of jaywalking. ISSUES The lack of proper street crossing disrupt the connection along the streets.
