Final Building Proposal

  • 61,000 square foot building on 5-7 acres in Kasson at a cost of $16,475,000
  • Includes: ALC, ZED South, T2Success, and district office
  • ZED South and district office buildings sold (profits go into cost)
  • In 2015-16, the last building proposal was for ALC and T2Success new 42,000

square foot building on 12 acres at a cost of $13,100,000

  • ZED did explore an option of everything under one roof with a 64,000
  • sq. ft building on 15 acres at a cost of $17,220,000 in 2015-16

Timeline

  • Architect design takes 4-6 months
  • Construction takes 12 months
  • Goal is to have design ready by January 2020 to keep costs low for

bidding

  • New building opening in Fall 2021

Finances

  • ZED would be using your lease levy dollars for the bond
  • ZED would produce a final resolution for your school board to vote on
  • To move forward, would need all 7 school boards to adopt/approve
