  1. ZC207DK MASTER ZONE CONTROLLER The TQMS ZC207DK Master Zone Dry Contact Controller operates up to 7 zones and a proportional bypass damper. Zoning is accomplished by using automatic proportional dampers in the ducts within each zone. Each zone is controlled by a thermostat or a remote control and receiver, which in turn control a damper. The airconditioning system responds to the selected responses and provides comfort conditions only to the required zones.

Thermostats installed at each zone will allow programming to each zone in order that set temperatures can be achieved . The TQMS ZC-207DK provides The temperature you want ! Where you want it ! When you want it ! There may be some areas that are not in use and therefore comfort conditions to these areas can be minimized – resulting in significant energy savings. The TQMS ZC207DK Zone Control System gives you the ability to turn off any zone. This allows your system to direct the cooling or heating where it is needed, and not waste energy. The TQMS ZC207DK is a dry contact system controller which is designed to control up to 7 zones used in combination with ABS plastic dampers ( 4", 6", 8", 10" 12" or 14" ) . The system includes a by–pass, 2 Relays and a communication port. This communication port enables connecting an additional controller to the main one. This feature increases the systems capability to control up to 14 zones on one system. The TQMS ZC207DK controller operates the airconditioning system by connecting two dry contact relays. It works independently of the airconditioning systems supplied electronics and controller and therefore does not interfere with the airconditioning systems controller or electronics. The airconditioning system will receive commands to operate or shut off dampers according to the total system demand for cooling or heating. The controller receives operation commands from each zone and controls each air damper proportionally.   3. The TQMS ZC207DK operates up to 7 zones and a proportional bypass damper. The TQMS ZC 207DK Master Zone Control System was designed to provide ideal comfort conditions within a home, while reducing energy costs at the same time. The controller automatically adjusts the operation of the airconditioning system to the set point of each zone at any given time. The system is supplied with easy to use RJ11 connections to ensure a convenient and quick installation of the systems components. The system enables connection of up to 7 zones with three different types of electronic damper control devices per ducted system. The dampers are located inside the air ducts, the controller ( ZC207DK) is located near the evaporator. The TQMS ZC 207DK Master Zone Controller automatically identifies the number of zones connected to it and the operating position of each damper. The controller calculates the airconditioning load and according to the accumulation of the total openings of the dampers, the proportional bypass damper and the airconditioning systems operation is adjusted to the set point of each zone. The resultant decrease in heat or cool load, will decrease the evaporator fan speed, stop the compressor in its operation and in parallel, the bypass damper will fully open to drain surplus air volume from the system and make an easy start for the fan during its next operational cycle. The ZC207DK controls the evaporator fan speeds, one or two stage compressors, heat pump (which activates the reversing valve in cooling mode) and the condenser fan speeds.

The TQMS ZC207DK has an indication panel that will display the status of the systems operation. 7 Channel LED's for each (Zone) damper status indication 2 outputs LED's for relays status indication 1 LED for bypass damper 1 Green LED for main power supply 1 Yellow LED Fault indication ZC207DK - display panel diagnostics Power – The green LED is ON when Power is supplied to the controller. K1 LED (most manufacturers’ equipment) – ( N ormally Open ) When there is a demand to operate the air conditioning system, the LED is ON . K2 LED (some manufacturers’ equipment) – ( N ormally Open ) When there is a demand to operate the air conditioning system, the LED is ON . Note : K2 is used to send a pulse signal (on initiation of mains power) to the system PCB where this is the requirement of specific brands – LED flashes briefly. This is controlled via ZC207DK internal software. The installer should select the K1 or K2 connection, as per the manufacturers’ recommendations. If the stipulation is for a NC contact - select K2. By-pass LED:  When the by-pass LED is continually ON , the by-pass damper is fully open.  When the by-pass LED is blinking , it is an indication that the by-pass damper is connected and operating ( modulating or fully closed ).  When the by-pass LED is OFF it is an indication that the by-pass damper is not connected. LED’s Ch. #1 to Ch. #7:  When Ch. #1 to Ch. #7 LED’s are continually ON , those dampers are fully open .  When Ch. #1 to Ch. #7 LED’s are blinking , it is an indication that those dampers are connected and operating ( modulating or fully closed ).  When Ch. #1 to Ch. #7 LED’s are OFF , it is an indication that there are no dampers connected to those channels.

  5. Relays There are two relays on the controller that are operating opposite to each other. K1 is N ormally O pen and K2 is N ormally C losed. The installer should select the proper relay as per the type of airconditioning unit’s PCB controller. The installer would select whether the airconditioning unit’s controller requires the NO or NC command. Pre-fabricated two wire dry contact cables will be supplied by the airconditioning unit’s controller to match the terminals of their PCB and the relay terminals of the ZC207DK (NO) or (NC) EMG = Emergency Input The Emergency input will be NC contact input and it requires a jumper wire to operate. It is mainly designed for fire systems. In case of FIRE the airconditioning unit will be shut down and all dampers (bypass included) to avoid smoke passing through the ducting into the rooms/zones. For low voltage input only. Use 0.5 mm wire as minimum . Communication Port The communication port allows connecting additional controller to the main one. This feature allows connecting up to 14 rooms/zones to one system with one C200 Power Supply. The main controller will be the master and the second one will be the slave. The master controller will be the one to control the airconditioning unit. Use only prefabricated RJ11-4 standard cables supplied by the manufacturer. Dip Switches 8 dip switches operate different software options. Dip switch #1 doubles the size of damper used on Channel 1.   6. Power Supply C200PS The Unit works with 230 Vac. 50/60 Hz. Use 3 wires cable type 250 VAC, 0.5 mm. Built according to CE and UL standards. Dimensions : C200PS: 125 mm X 120 mm X 60 mm . Plastic Body ABS V-0 The ZC207DK must be connected to the C200PS power supply. Use the Red/Black pre-fabricated cable supplied by the manufacturer. Bypass Damper The bypass damper will balance the air flow proportionally to the air flow demand from each room or zone. The damper will be motorized directly from the controller in the room/zone. Connect the bypass motor to the ZC207DK controller using prefabricated red/black cable supplied by the manufacturer. Round Dampers The controller will motorize the following dampers sizes - 4" , 6", 8", 10" , 12" & 14". Each damper will be motorized by a 12volt DC motor . It is possible to multiply the damper size at channel #1 . Connect the damper motors to the ZC207DK controller using prefabricated red/black cable supplied by the manufacturer. The K1 and K2 relays ratings are: 250 VAC, 2 Amps.
