What is Youth 19?

• A year dedicated to young people aged 12-24;
• Promote the voices, needs, priorities and rights of young people;
• Highlighting the positive contributions young people make to our community;
• Supporting young people to take a leading role and Make.Change.Happen;
• Providing partners with the opportunity to work more collaboratively to improve
• utcomes for young people;
• Build effective cross border cooperation in the development and delivery of youth

participation programmes.

From previous consultation key priorities that were identified were;

• Promote positive Health and Wellbeing
• Engagement and Participation of young people
• Develop skills and create clear career pathways.

Cross cutting across all themes;

• Access and Inclusion
• Youth Recognition
• Marketing, publicity and cultural programming.
