HOMEWORK  Consolidate key learning areas Reading, Writing & Numeracy  Purpose – To promote positive study habits and reinforce concepts learnt throughout the day  Platforms for Homework include paper homework sheet, spelling and writing activities and an expectation of 4 x 15mins of reading per week. Homework is to be completed in homework books and on One Note. Online platforms Manga High - Literacy Planet - Study Ladder -

  12. SUPPORT TEACHERS SPECIALIST TIMES LDC Students in Year 6 participate in a number of specialist lessons. These include: • PE • Music Melissa Bird mmatt30@eq.edu.au • Drama Mon-Thurs • Technology Melissa Cooper mcoop53@eq.edu.au Thurs-Fri Some of these lessons are on a Semester rotational basis.

  15. MERIDAN BYOX  1 student to 1 device usage (1:1)  Used within the college Year 4-12  Online platforms are being used each and every day (One Note, Literacy Planet and Manga high)  Assessment is being carried out online  School website is a hub for BYOX information

  16. BYOX ON SCHOOL DEVICE  Lease a School Device for $250 per year  BYOX and use school network $60 per year  Full IT support for troubleshooting

  17. OWN DEVICE - BYOX  Students are encouraged to bring their own devices that meet the specifications and connect to the school network  Students need to charge their laptops at home every night.

  18. ONE NOTE IS A FANTASTIC TOOL WHICH WILL ALLOW STUDENTS TO HAVE A SHARED DIGITAL NOTEBOOK FOR THEIR SCHOOLWORK.

  20. YEAR 6 CAMP  Week 10 in Term 1 Monday 30 th March to Wednesday 1 st April  The camp will run for three days and two nights at APEX Park, Mudjimba  Further details throughout the term
