  • The Personal Tutor should be the first port of call if a student has any

queries or problems.

  • Meetings take place on a regular basis. This can be through one to one

sessions or in small groups. The meetings are arranged by email.

  • At the start of Year 12, Tutors are responsible for assisting students

through their transition to A-level.

  • Following the transition period, Tutor sessions are used to discuss

academic progress, offer guidance and support, where necessary; whilst also monitoring student well being.

  • In Year 13, Tutors are responsible for writing references (including UCAS)

and offering support with writing CV‘s and personal statements.

  • Personal Tutors should be advised where students attend medical
