The list of colleges, both private and public is very long. Need to carefully about choosing one that suits your needs. There has been some controversy over training colleges. Govt offer “Fee-Help” which is similar to HECS.

  • Each offers a huge range of courses to choose from.

  • Universities are very keen to get your enrolments
  • Tertiary education has become very competitive in recent years.
  • Most degree courses are 4 years of full time study.
  • University is not free. You pay through HECS.
  • SRS. Nine Universities that offer SRS. Applications process.
  • Scholarships and Bursaries: Generally reserved for the most needy or

the best students. Eg Sydney University scholarship for the dux of the school.

  • Living away from home - need to consider residential colleges or

private accommodation. Can be very expensive.

Cost Last year was about $130

Rugby players stay down if game in Sydney that weekend. Others return Saturday morning.
