- Growing readers by building confidence and providing
- pportunities to practice
- Fluency books to read independently, to reread and to share
reading success Year 2 Fluency Book days are Monday and Thursday. (3 Fluency Books on each day)
- Books are returned to boxes as part of morning routines
- Communication through the reading log in the diary
- Year 2 students can also take out up to FOUR library books.

- Promote further independence and
responsibility skills - have your child do all their morning chores themselves
- Encourage children to move immediately into
social interactions - fostering building relationships
- Allowing teachers to develop the Shared Area
as a learning space from the beginning of the day.
