Year 2 Home Reading Programme ● Growing readers by building confidence and providing opportunities to practice ● Fluency books to read independently, to reread and to share reading success Year 2 Fluency Book days are Monday and Thursday. (3 Fluency Books on each day) ● Books are returned to boxes as part of morning routines ● Communication through the reading log in the diary ● Year 2 students can also take out up to FOUR l ibrary books . We will send out information in the next few weeks...

Parent Information Sessions For Y1 parents and Y2 parents new to the school If you attended these session last year, no need to attend again. Friday 13th Sept 8:30-10 a.m. Child Development Tues 17th Sept 8:30-10 a.m. Language

Morning Drop Offs ● Promote further independence and responsibility skills - have your child do all their morning chores themselves ● Encourage children to move immediately into social interactions - fostering building relationships ● Allowing teachers to develop the Shared Area as a learning space from the beginning of the day.

Student Collection ● Changes of ‘end of day travel’: inform through diary or email. Bus students - both teacher & Bus Mum to be informed. ● CCAs - after school. Children need to be collected from school and accompanied by an adult. ● After school - students should only be on school grounds if they are waiting to attend a class & should be accompanied by an adult.
