  • Direct email to faculty

CFR serves as a resource to faculty on non-federal grant applications

  • Liaison for PI/RACE/ORA/Foundation

Institutionally Competitive Grants

  • Some foundations limit the number of applicants per institution. An internal

competition will be managed through a subcommittee to select the Jefferson applicant for each.

  • Please DO NOT apply directly — unsolicited applications may disqualify Jefferson

from future competitions.

  • Limitations vary from foundation to foundation.
  • These notices are distributed by OIAFundingOpportunities@Jefferson.edu through

the FT-Faculty, Chairman, and Dept-Admin list-servs. If you are not on one of these three distribution lists, please contact adrea.cope@Jefferson.edu

  • These opportunities can be accessed on the Jefferson InfoReady Portal

Funding for Programs/ Programmatic Proposals

  • CFR also manages programmatic grant opportunities, led by Emma DelVecchio,

Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations

1-3 year timeline

  • Address community-based needs such as food access, health literacy, community outreach etc.
  • Enterprise-wide quality-improvement initiatives
  • General operating is rare- looking for novelty and impact
  • Interdisciplinary teams, patient education or outcomes focused
  • Clinical research can be programmatic
  • Collaborative process that is often organic, involves multiple decision makers and

levels of review

  • Examples:
  • Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation – Interdisciplinary lung cancer screening
