The Pains…

O In Buffalo, CRC incidence is 20% higher &

mortality rates are 18% higher in Blacks v. Whites

O In NYS: 835,102 (25% of NYS pop) are

Black/African American men & women 50- 79 who should be screened for CRC.

O At least 233,829 Black men & women are

unscreened

O 92%+ of NY has health insurance coverage

O “Gaps in Care” = only about 30% of
