GENERAL INFORMATION
- Homeroom = 8 minutes
- Class period = 59 minutes
- Students take 8 courses and have a lunch
- Passing time between periods= 4 minutes
- Lunch= 30 minutes (3 lunch periods)
- Ability to accommodate shared timed
vocational students
ADVANTAGES AND EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS
- Additional instructional time per class meeting
- To complete lessons/projects/labs in one session

- Students have an opportunity to take 8 classes (40
credits a year)
- Students have a maximum of 6 classes per day so
that they can focus on fewer each day

- PE no longer tied to science lab schedule, except in AP
- Fine & Performing Arts can complete projects, work,
performance practices in a class period
- Less detrimental if a student is absent due to illness
- Students will not miss the same class if they leave for
athletics, field trips, or co-curricular initiatives
