Council of the European Union, July-December 2012)

  • It is the third largest and third most populous island in the eastern

Mediterranean

  • Cyprus is a major tourist destination in the Mediterranean
  • Cyprus has a sub-tropical climate, with very mild winters and warm to hot

summers

  • The total population of Cyprus is 1,103,997
