 A project funded by the DFID/British Council through

the NSRP Project since the signature of a MoU on the 1st of February 2013

 A project housed by the French Institute for Research

in Africa (IFRA-Nigeria), a research institution based at the University of Ibadan since 1990

 A group of 4 full-time Nigerian researchers and

information retrieval specialists backed by a team of French social scientists

 A Component of the NSRP project and a member of

the Peace and Security Working Group for Nigeria

1) Read and Analyze :

  • 10 daily newspapers
  • Reports from official and non-

governmental Agencies

  • Only open sources -

2) Identify & Select all reported violent death events 3) Feed the database with the selected events as well as a PDF copy of the source material
