  4. How to Read Courses  62-211-03  First two numbers indicate Department – 62 Elementary Education  Next three numbers indicate Course Number - 211 Observation and Activity  Last two numbers indicate Section Number - 03 Section 3

  5. Class Meetings  3 credit classes meet either - 3 fifty minute classes per week Or - 2 seventy-five minute classes per week Or - 1 one hundred fifty minute class per week  Labs (Biology) are usually 2 hours for 1 credit  Block classes - meet for half the trimester (7 weeks) - 62-211 Observation and Activity is example

  7. English and Math Requirements  Composition – Comp. 111 (10-111) – Comp. 112 (10-112) – Intro. to College Writing (10-110) (ACT of 18 or below on English subtest) – Accelerated Comp. (10-115) (ACT of 27 or above on English subtest) (You may choose to take 10- 111 or 10-112 if you prefer.)

  12. ACT Requirement  Minimum Composite score of 20 by the time you take the C-BASE during your Sophomore year.  Free tutoring offered to assist you if you need to retake ACT to reach minimum score.
